Kim Hughes
JJS Head Coach

Beginning his seventh campaign on the Clippers' bench is Kim Hughes, who came to Los Angeles after serving the previous five seasons with the Denver Nuggets. Hughes began with the Nuggets in 1998 as Director of Scouting and was subsequently named Director of Player Personnel. He moved to the bench as an assistant coach prior to the start of the 1998-99 campaign. Hughes also spent seven seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks, as head scout during the 1997-98 season and as a regional scout during the previous six campaigns. The 6'11" Hughes is a veteran of six seasons in the American Basketball Association and the National Basketball Association, beginning his career with the New York Nets of the ABA in 1975-76 where he was named to the All-Rookie First Team. Hughes signed with the Nuggets in 1978 and finished his NBA career in Cleveland in 1891. Hughes played collegiately at the University of Wisconsin from 1970-74 before playing professionally in Italy during the 1974-75 season. When his NBA career ended in 1981, Hughes returned to Italy, playing in Rome (Reggio Calabria) and Milan (Innocenti) until he retired in 1989. A native of Freeport, IL, Hughes and his wife, Christy, are the parents of four children; Ryan, Megan, Maddison, and Caitlin.

Todd Simon
Associate Head Coach of Findlay Prep

Todd Simon was part of the inaugural Findlay Prep staff that launched the upstart program. In the last 4 seasons, the Pilots are 121-5 including 44-0 at home. In 2009 the Pilots were undefeated consensus National Champions. In 2010, Findlay won their back-to-back ESPN Rise National High School Invitational Championship. At Findlay Simon has coached 5 Jack Jones Shootout participants, 4 McDonald's All-Americans, 4 Jordan Brand All-Americans, and 5 Parade All-Americans. Simon has coached 25 international student-athletes from 17 different countries. Findlay has NCAA qualified 100% of their graduates and every graduate has went on to a NCAA division 1 basketball scholarship.

Simon came to Findlay Prep from UNLV, where he spent two seasons as an aide to coach Lon Kruger. Prior to joining the Runnin' Rebel Staff, Simon gained experience at Pepperdine University under head coach Paul Westphal and his staff. He started his career as the head junior varsity boy's basketball coach at Harrison High School in Harrison, Michigan. In 2006, Simon worked as a member of the support staff for Team USA during their training in Las Vegas, Nevada where he gained experience working with the highest-level players and coaches in the world. He has also been a veteran of summer camps around the country. Simon has also worked Michael Jordan's Flight School in Las Vegas and Giants of Africa Big Man Camp in Lagos, Nigeria. In addition to camps, Simon has organized AAU events out of Las Vegas. Previous to his time at Pepperdine, Simon worked for Beverly Hills based Fingerprint Communications specializing in publicity, events, marketing, branding and talent relations for their celebrity clientele.

Simon graduated from Fowler High School in Fowler, Michigan. He attended Central Michigan University on a full academic scholarship as recipient of the university's highest academic award the Centralis Scholarship. Simon graduated from CMU's Honors program with a B.S. in B.A. with majors in Sport Studies and Management Information Systems. In 2010, Simon graduate with his Masters in Sport Education Leadership from UNLV and will continue to pursue his doctoral degree. Simon married Kati Klein in July of 2006.


Alan Huss
Head Coach of La Lumiere School (Laporte, IN)

Alan Huss is in his first year as head basketball coach at La Lumiere School in Laporte, IN. Already the Lakers have shattered the school record for wins. Before coming to La Lumiere, Coach Huss was the Head men's basketball Coach at Culver Academy in Culver, IN. In 92 seasons prior to Coach Huss arriving, the Eagle had only posted winning seasons 4 times. Under Coach Huss, Culver posted 3 consecutive winning seasons including school records for victories in his final two seasons as head coach. Prior to Culver, Coach Huss was the Head basketball Coach at Decatur Christian in Decatur, IL. In 2006-2007 Decatur Christian went 26-4 and finished the season ranked 4th nationally. Coach Huss is married and has two daughters.


Jesus F. Patino
Head Coach of White Station High School (Memphis, TN)

A graduate of Morehead State University, Jesus Patino has coached for over 19 years with a record of (469-210).
- 2006-07 -Regional Runner-up. Selected to coach East vs. West Tenn. All-Star Game
- 2007-08- 25 wins, Regional Runner-up, and Sate Runner-up
- 2008-09- 31 wins, Regional Champions and State Champions
- 2008-09- MIAA Coach of the year, District Coach of the year, BCAT Coach of the year,
- State Coach of the year, Best of the Prep Coach of the year, National Coaches Federation Coach of the year
- For the state of Tennessee 2009-10- 28 wins, Regional Runner-up, City Champions, and State Runner-up
- 2009-10- Coached a McDonald Parade First Team All-American (Joe Jackson)
